It Started With One

This is Penny
She started it all.
I had my grandson one weekend and after going and doing everything that grandma wanted to do I decided to get him a Webkinz. He had asked for one and I was going to wait till the next time he came to visit to get one. But he had been REALLY good, and I sure did appreciate it so we ran to Hallmark and bought this one. He named her Penny, for I had a buckskin mare that he just loved, and her name was Penny. Penny went to live with a police officer friend of mine and he gave her a very good life. Caleb didn't get to come and see us but once a year or so and I needed to cut down on the horse number....he never has forgiven me for that. So this is in memory of Penny. Well we adopted her and signed up for all the neat stuff and started checking out all the different things in Webkinz world when Caleb had to go back home. I asked if he wanted to take Penny with him (2 hour drive) and he said no, that she could stay with me and I could take care of her. I said ok. So I started getting on line to feed her, play with her and with all of that stuff I got attached to her. Not surprising though, ask my daughter, I am bad about that. After buying Penny two new rooms, her furniture, feeding her everyday, playing with her etc. I decided she needed some new playmates, and I, that's right "I" needed my very own Webkinz. But how does an adult admit to that? How do you go to a store and buy them while saving face? I did what I had to do... I lied! I said they were for my grand kids. So I have added to the herd.
This is a pink Poodle. I have not named her yet, don't know what name to give her, I am open to suggestions, not giving out any prize for it, but you are more than welcome to suggest names. In fact I think I would appreciate it. Make sure it will be something that I can spell (for when I am not on the computer and need to know how to spell it!!!)
Then this is a Pig. It is in honor of me. Well???? depends on how you look at that. In my previous job remember I was an officer of the law. Some people call us PIGS, or they would say "I smell bacon". You know, junk like that. So I got her for me. Some would say it is also representative of how much I eat now. I am getting to be quite the little porker. Need to go back to working three jobs and get the poundage off. Not goin' happen, but needs to.
This is the cutest little elephant. I am thinking of naming her Ellie (aren't I soooo original?) Or anything else you might want to suggest. Not Horton, although that is really cute now that I think of it. About as original as Ellie. Ok, I will take suggestions.
And then of course we needed a family photo. I am so in love with them. I have not adopted them yet, for you must have their names when you adopt them. So if you are going to make a suggestion you need to do it by this weekend. I will probably adopt all of them by Sunday. But knowing me like I do, I probably won't wait that long and will do it tomorrow.

Just a side note, I had planned on cleaning ONE box out of the garage today. That was the plan the goal. I ended up spending the day with my aunt and uncle, she is recovering from some major female surgery at the age of 70, and then spent the evening getting my hair done. Not ALL evening, but for a good couple hours. So tomorrow, maybe tomorrow I will get one box emptied and thrown away. But it is suppose to storm. Maybe even have tornadoes, that would take care of my problem huh? No, don't say that, be careful what you wish for, I wanted fire wood to burn in the fireplace....got a major ice storm and now I have plenty of firewood, and so does all of Tulsa, Northeast Oklahoma, heck almost the whole state. Be careful, very careful what you wish for, you just might get it.

LOL I haven't heard PIGS in a long time. Do they still call police that?

Possible tornadoes...that's is the most pitiful excuse I've heard to not clean out a box of junk! (wink)The other reasons were real. I'm getting hair colored today FINALLY. I did put away half of stuff on kitchen table.

Webkinz? I've heard of them. Would be easier than getting a dog like I'm thinking about. I think they are adorable!

Names? I'm not good at names. My first thought was Winnie.

Winnie the Poo?

You'll come up with something cute like the others. Oh by the way, you have been TAGGED! You need to visit me today and see :)

So cute. . . my kids are addicted too. I think it's a pretty great hobby for them. We limit it though-the whole internet thing can be addicted-this is coming from an addict :D

I've never heard of these things. They are really cute. As for names, I'm terrible with that stuff.

If you get tornados today, we'll get them tomorrow. I was in Tulsa aftr the worst of the ice storm was over in December. There were still lots of places without power. It was strange looking to say the least.
