Class Monday Night

Food Photography!
The class assignment was to bring things to photograph Monday evening. We each either brought some food items, or grouped up with others and brought food. You should have seen all the different ideas people came up with. Some of my favorites were the m&m's, or ice cream sundaes made from instant mashed potatoes. It was so fun.

My team did the cookies for Santa. I thought it was a cute idea, and we
found out that others thought so too.
For other person did the very same setup.
But ours was the cutest!!

And then this is a cherry pie. We were so busy
with all the pictures and I think no one brought a knife
so we were not able to cut a slice and fix the cherries.
The instructor was going to show us how to fix it.
I would really like to have seen that.

I don't think it is my niche in life to photograph food.
And it sure made me hungry.

warning: I get the grand kids Thursday evening for the weekend. So there will probably be many pictures of the kids....or no pictures at all for I may not have time to be on the computer!!!! I not only will have the two legged kids, but the four legged one too. Plus a cold front is coming through, not suppose to be out of the 40's. Good grief.

Oh I love the cookies for santa one! But now I want cookies and it's kind of early. Who got to take the bites out of the cookie? LOL. That was my first thought!
Hugs.

Not out of the 40's? Oh, you poor thing! We're lucky to get out of the 20's this week, and it's only going to get worse!

Enjoy the grandkids. I hope to see some this weekend, and then a whole bunch will come for Thanksgiving.

Have a good day. I will, as my dentist appointment was cancelled!

Tha pictures are fantastic...they all made my mouth water! I think I wouldn't be good at the food photography, cause, well, I'd probably have the food half eaten before I focused!

Looks like you had a great time. And we expect those pics of the grandkids. I know you have fun with them.

I like the food pics and the cookie one is very cute.

Guess what I got in the mail today? Woo Hoo - pecans and a recipe!! Thank you so much! I suppose I will make a pie for Thanksgiving and share it, but I'm tempted to keep it for ourselves - LOL!

And I have an award for you on my blog!

mmm...I think that cherry pie looks pretty good...but the cookie photo is such a good idea and you don't need utensils to enjoy that one! Glad you are enjoying your photography so much, it shows!

OK Lisa, your job is to line all of those grandkids and make them blow as hard as they can, to the east. Blow that cold front out of there before we get there on Tuesday! LOLOL

Enjoy the kiddos, I am looking forward to the pictures!

Did you get to eat the food after you photographed it?

I once read a book about the food photography industry. It was fascinating and assured me that I would never be able to do that!

Have fun with all your babies :)

When I went back to school at TJC for art and jewelry making classes, all our instructor had us bring popcorn. we had to draw it BIG. It was an interesting exercise. We looked at popcorn in a much different way after that.

Good post...
