Where Oh Where

Where Have I Been?

Well I went to the fair
With my husband and my dad.

The first thing we did was went to the children petting zoo.

And don't worry, I certainly heeded their advise.
I have to make a living with them fingers!!
But these little critters don't look to mean now do they?
I thought it was so cute seeing the black baby goat laying on top
of the white baby goat.
And yes I know a baby goat is called a kid, but go back and read it
that way and you know as well as I do that would not have sounded very nice!

Everyone around the fair was eating!
I am not a big fan of hogs, have always been
scared of them. My Vo-Ag teacher (also my neighbor
as a kid growing up) raised hogs and they were mean.
So I have a very healthy respect for them.
But the little pigs (piglets) sure are cute.

Then there was a Ram with FOUR horns?!

You can see three of them in this picture if you look

very closely. How would you like the job of cleaning these big boys?

This guy is vacuuming these horses, shinning them all up.

And he had about 10 of them to do!!!

Of course I am all about weird stuff at the fair.

So when I saw this I had to get a picture of it.

Actually I think it is pretty, now I don't want one

and I don't want my daughter to get one

but it is colorful.

I asked the girls if they would mind letting me

take their picture and they said it was fine.

They also said it hurt like a son of a gun.

They had tats in other places but said this was

the most painful of them all.

I heard on TV the other day this is the new fad.

Tattoos behind the ears.

We had the grand dog this week too. When she gets

tired and crashes, she CRASHES!

I took several pictures of her and she never moved

or woke up. She is fun to keep now

that she uses the doggie door.

Then we went to the 50th wedding anniversary of my husband's

brother and wife. This is the original cake topper at their wedding.

Now these pictures at the party were not taken by me.

I have a new picture buddy and I honestly think he did a great job.

I am serious, I gave him the camera, gave some instructions,

like don't you dare drop it, or run around playing with it around

your neck. He was so good to follow my rules. I was very proud and

impressed with what all he did.

Of course this is his family, I think this was his first picture and I did

help him with this one. After that he was on his own.

He wanted one of grandma.

Crap, I can't believe how old and fat I am getting.

I hate having my picture taken, and now I

remember why.

What happened to the days of youth and beauty?

Why is it we don't look like what we see in our head?

He was so excited about the flower and the bird feather!

I laughed at him (not to his face!) he was so cute about the things he took pictures of.

See what I mean.....?????

Wedding Class:

I do not know who this girl is, other than the daughter of

on of my classmates.

She is getting married in April I think and volunteered to

be our subject for the wedding portraits.

She is so pretty and has the most gorgeous smile in the world.

She was so willing to do anything that we asked of her.

There are about 25 of us in class and we all took pictures of her.

We were there for over 3 1/2 hours and she never complained,

took one break to rest and was such a sweet willing victim.

This is not all I have done this past week. We went to the Jeff Dunham show and he was so stinkin' funny. The Guitar Man that opened his show was almost funnier than Jeff. Then there was a heckler in the upper level seating, (probably a little too much beer!) that had us all going pretty good. It was funny to see how he improvised, but of course he is a professional. The only thing I don't care for is all the adult language that was used. I was surprised it was that rank. There were lots of kids in the audience too. I am not a prude, but I do get tired of hearing the "f" word all the time. And especially after I have paid some pretty good hard earned money to go out and have a good time. But the building is WONDERFUL. We have just opened the BOK Center in down town Tulsa. I don't know how long they have been building it, remember I have only been here a year. But it is one awesome building. I saw the mounted police, my dream!! And we saw the bike patrol, the segways and then tons of officers on foot. So I felt very safe, and we got in and out so quickly. It was a really good experience.

I am tired, having been going and doing too much. But I have some really great news to share if anyone is still with me.

William Michael McAllister

So much going on! Thanks for sharing all the great pics! I think you look very nice in your pic! I do know what you mean though - I have a picture in my head that does NOT match up with myself in real life.

I hope you get some time to relax. I am also a person who can't have things too busy (I am the opposite of a type A person)- I always need some time for a break.

I love Jeff Dunham. No wait, I love Jeff Dunhams puppets. Achmed the dead terrorist is my favorite.

Beautiful job on the bride pictures, that girl was really a great sport.

I love the Tulsa fair, I have spent many many hours there. Its one of my favorite fairs.

By the way, you look awesome!

I like that picture of you. The one you used to have for your profile looked so stern with the uniform. I think you look great.

Welcome home Will.

Busy girl you are!
I don't know why, maybe it is because I do not want any of our fellow Americans hurt ever, any where. I am so appreciative of all our troops do for us, but when I hear that someone has come home from war, I cry. It's a happy cry. I am happy for the trooper, I am happy for his/her family, I am happy for his/her friends. It just makes me happy that another person has come home safe!

You have been busy girl friend. I can't imagine a tattoo anywhere let alone on my neck behind my ear. OUCH. I wonder if these girls think about what that is going to look like when they are 80 years old. lol.
It was good hearing from you my friend.

I haven't been to a fair for year. Too many year. Sounds like fun!

You are getting good use out of that camera! Good for you, but I still have camera envy. I have one picked out, just need to raise the bucks!

You haven't been posting very often lately but it sounds like you've been busy. Hope all is okay with you.

Why am I wanting a camera when my computer doesn't work? My post is supposed to say "years" in both spots, not "year." My "S" doesn't work, and I have to go back through and insert them and jut missed those two. And that one in the line above too!

You went to the fair and took a picture of my new future golf cart partner LOL. I love looking at the animals too. We still may go this weekend. All your photos are great! Yes, you've been busy and this post was long so I can't comment on all hehehe.

Thank God Will is home safe and sound. Give him a hug for me and thank him for his service :)
