Funny Tuesday!

I had to laugh!
OK, sometimes I just pull really stupid blunders, and today
I pulled a doozie!
Here is what happened...
This morning Scott went duck hunting with my dad and uncle. I love my alone time and treasure it greatly. I needed to buy some groceries, I needed to go to the post office, and honestly, I needed to do a few other errands, but I did not want to. I called my mom to see if she wanted to go to lunch...nope, not really. Darn it! It is cold outside, but I had a shower after all, and I cleaned myself up. But no, she did not want to go.
It seems I am going to have to cook lunch myself....for myself. I was out of milk, so no cereal, pancakes or anything like that. OK, what do I have...oh I know, I can fix a pizza. I fix a really good pizza, and I have all the stuff to do it. I go out to the freezer grab some hamburger meat, defrost it and start cooking the meat while warming the oven and pizza stone etc. I get all my toppings out, like the sauce, olives, and cheese. I lay out the pizza crust and pour my sauce on top, not a whole lot is left, but just enough to do this pizza....whew, lucky there. I open the olives getting them ready to go on after the meat is cooked. I need to get the strainer out of the cabinet to drain the grease. Reaching up into the cabinet I notice I am really close to the pizza and I stopped just in time of getting my white shirt in the pizza sauce. Whew, lucky there.
I very carefully reach up, get my Tupperware strainer and as I pull it out of the cabinet it catches the one, single, lone paper plate that I have left and knocks it right out of the cabinet. Right onto the pizza.
Oh you guessed it...splat....splatter, pizza sauce every where. I just stood there. Then I started laughing. I couldn't help it. I just laughed. I laughed out loud, I laughed pretty hard. And then I did the only thing I knew to do. I stripped off the shirt, walked to the laundry room and treated it...and I just laughed. OK, maybe you just had to be there. But I really did need a good laugh!
by the way, the pizza was really good!!!!

That sounds like something I'd do Lisa. It seems like whenever I have anything white on that means an accident is waiting to happen...

Thanks for the laugh.

I don't know what it is but EVERY time I make spaghetti or pizza I am wearing a WHITE shirt. I have ruined plenty of them lol. BUT, now I wear an apron so all is well. That was too funny though! Doesn't it just figure? LOL.
Hugs to you!

Wish I would have been there with my camera!

I would have gone to lunch with you, heck yes!

I'm off to buy groceries.

I think all of my white shirts have stains. Always good to have a nice laugh! I am just glad to know that the pizza was still OK - I was a little worried! :)

Sounds like some of my experiences.

In fact, I have learned to get everything together on the cabinet before I ever start or I will either end up not having something that I knew I had, or dropping something right into my food.

But yes, I can see the humor in the whole thing.

And I agree, it's all your mama's fault.

ohhh homemade pizza sounds so good!

Sorry about the shirt. I would have spilled the entire jar of pizza sauce on me. LOL

I agree, we should have gotten a photo with this post! LOL

It's always tomato sauce isn't it? I have to ask, did you eat the pizza? Those laughs are the best kind and it's wonderful to laugh at yourself. What good would getting mad do, anyway?

I liked this, you nut!
